Vector Pens Open Letter To The Federal Government

Image
Prolific Nigerian rapper Vector is showing off his displeasure with the incumbent government. The “King Kong” crooner is currently unhappy about how the present government is “running things”. Image
The past 5 years, only Falz has dared the system to make a change, incorporating rap into the realm of comedy and movie making. Who will be next? Popular culture or pop culture is the entirety of ideas, perspectives attitudes, images, and other phenomena that are within the mainstream of a given culture, especially Western culture of the early to mid-20th century and the emerging global mainstream of the late 20th and early 21st century. Heavily influenced by mass media, this collection of ideas permeates the everyday lives of our society. The Nigerian star who has emerged as the only true breakout act of this year did it by bringing a new wave. What has made Mr Eazi so appealing to Nigeria? His sound. Mr Eazi’s partnership with Julz is currently one that is working. Grabbing inspiration from 80s and 90s Ghanaian Highlife melodies, Julz creates a modern fusion of these sounds, and hands it to Mr Eazi, who layers his pop verses over it. Thematic direction of the songs are all romance and love-based. Just like the 70s and the 60’s when Ghanaian Highlife was appropriated by our Nigerian fathers, the sounds from Ghana have been mixed with a Naija delivery, and it has caught on. Mr Eazi ’s reliance on a certain system of delivery and production has also been the driving force of his nascent career. There’s a uniqueness to his madnes
